Dog friendly beaches from Busselton to Augusta
Busselton
Endless stretches of golden sand, tranquil water, and plenty of family-friendly space? Busselton is a dream location. While the iconic jetty is off-limits, dogs are welcome on 7kms of Geographe Bay shoreline, from west of the jetty foreshore all the way to Holgate Road. The only small spots prohibited are the Margaret Street beach access area and the Mandalay Beach access area.

Dunsborough
After a hearty breakfast and morning brew, walk down Dunn Bay Road. Turn right for sprawling views of the bay, darting up to the parks sheltered with peppermint trees, let the kids frolic in the playground, or bring a picnic – there’s oodles of pet-friendly space here. You can also turn left at Dunn Bay Road however there are a couple of patches out of bounds in summer, and the Old Dunsborough Ramp is off limits to dogs year-round.

Eagle Bay and Bunker Bay
Jaw-droppingly beautiful with creamy sand and glittering water, these bays are just begging for a walk and paddle. In exclusive Eagle Bay, take a leisurely wander without a care in the world to the boat ramp, and in Bunker Bay visit the north western end near Bunker Bay Resort. Unfortunately – as sad as it is – pets aren’t allowed on Meelup Beach or Castle Bay Beach.

Yallingup
This is your opportunity for a decent workout and for your dog to bound away all that excitable energy. The main beach is not permissible, however take a stroll along Dawson Drive and then on the beach from here. And at Smiths Beach, you can walk north towards Torpedo Rocks (not in summer, sorry).

Gracetown and Gnarabup
Romp along the shore in Gracetown, between the Cape to Cape Trail exit and the Melaleuca Beach picnic area. In pretty-as-a-picture Gnarabup, you’ll want to stick to the northern end, as you collect colourful shells while dogs run free with the wind in their fur. You’ll have access all the way to Surfers Point.
